Kudos to City Councilman Ray Ricchi |
| The McKinney "Sustainability Plan" outline was presented to the council in a special work session on Monday 1/23/12. |
|
Councilman Ricchi was the ONLY member to go on record
against adapting the plan referencing (indirectly) many of
the tea party principles such as limited government, fiscal
responsibility, personal responsibility and rule of law. |
|
The draft plan includes some reasonable efforts
already implemented by the City. Hence, no reason for
duplication. |
| It also includes far-reaching visioning and values beyond governmental responsibility with intrusion on private property rights, code enforcement and issues which should be decided by public debate and vote -- not a consensus process by a small fraction of resident participants. |
