NOT NEWS TO DMN "GATEKEEPERS"
1) Gallup: Feb. unemployment at
9%, up from 8.3%:
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/gallup-finds-unemployment-climbing-nine-percent-february
2) Americans' satisfaction in
George H.W./Jimmy Carter range:
3) UK tax revenue sinks with new
50-percent rate:
*[Margaret Hunt] Hill bridge cost
dwarfs previously quoted price, p. 1A - Shocking!
Know this: if The News had gone after this skyline "pizazz" like it
has Parkland, we wouldn't just be learning this, friends. ...
"Discussion of the total price tag has routinely left large items out --
[so we asked now -- after it's built!]" ... Too late,
taxpayers. But ain't it purty?
*Perry leaning toward running for
re-election, p. 1A - In
Perry's first Texas media interview since ending his prez run, Scribe
Hoppe-Along Lefty gets six graphs in before quoting a teacher's
union rep to rebut him. That's funny.
*Fired Parkland tech not
indicted, p. 2B - How
dare this grand jury? An evil, crazed
Parkland nut just walked up and choked this poor, defenseless patient
unconscious. Parkland folks are crazy, you know -- and now stupid,
[probably conservative] grand juries are letting them walk. That's
the angle spun for three-quarters of this piece - the part most folks
read. Read it all, you learn the guy was defending himself and others --
thus the no-bill.
Cheers and Go Conservatives!

NOT NEWS TO DMN "GATEKEEPERS"
Michelle Obama on Aspen ski vacay; 16th getaway in three years:

*Bushes, packed house hear Pelosi at A&M, p. 3A - Here's why George H. was a one-termer, folks. Commiserating with vipers. ... DMN j-schooler Sommer Ingram sez Texas is "potentially less-than-friendly turf" for Pelosi. "Potentially?" Pelosi polls south of "rabid skunk" here, ma'am. (Funny, AP used "potentially" too. How does that happen?) ... Pelosi's "a practicing Catholic?" You might ask the Pope about that, Sommer. ... "Pelosi cited the statistic that 98% of Catholic women use contraception?" Help us, out. What statistic? ... And thanks for the single last graph on the protesters - with no quotes or photo!

*So what's new in science? Nothing, NYT, p. 6A - There's a butt-load of books out there, friends, but The News picks the latest There-Is-No-God crap for 20-inches of fame -- under National news! (Yeah, news!!) ... The NYT sez there's "a chorus of physicists and cosmologists" out there who don't believe in God. (It's a fricking "CHORUS!" Y'all have seen a chorus. That's a lot!) ... Below, books you never saw in The DMN - - under "news" or anywhere else.

*[Bryan Adams High School cooking] Classes - and students - stay full, p. 1B - Anybody clear this with Miche? C'mon. Eating calzones in school? Those babies can push 900 cals! The irony escapes scribe Taylor Adams. And, why not ask if these kids spell calzone? ... The eating teacher shares her secret: "All kids love to eat, and that's the basis of this class." Dang, where was this in the 70s? I coulda been somebody.

EUREKA!
THE
DMN NOTICES
OBAMA'S LATE-WINTER RECORD-HIGH GAS PRICES!! (p. 1A)
Albeit, on a sleepy Monday morning,
with a micro-font headline -- and these jewels from scribe Tom Benning:
"... politicians have little policy options to ease gas prices in
the short term." (Gee, didn't hear that when W. was prez.)"Many
drivers have become accustomed to [high gas prices] ... and it "might
not produce the same outrage as years past." (You can hope, Tom!)
"Experts predict cheaper fuel by the fall." (Of
course!) And this from Rice U. egghead James Coan: "If [gas prices]
come back down ... that might be beneficial to Obama[!]" (Oh,
goody!) ... Scribe Tom ignores: 1) Obama said in '08 he had no prob with
high gas prices as long as they were gradual; and 2) any mention
of hardship being inflicted on the poor/middle class.

EUREKA II!
THE NEWS NOTICES TONIGHT'S
PBS DOCUMENTARY,
"CLINTON"!!
(p. 1E)
DMN editors look to The San Francisco Chronicle -
yes, San-Fran-Nan's hometown rag! - for context here. Scribe David
Weigand delivers, concluding that Clinton's life is "a
quintessential American experience[!]" (Yeah, we've all known
people who screw interns on the job and lie to federal judges.) Wiegand
also calls Slick Willie "a victim
of his own shortcomings and ambition." (Poor guy. Hey, that
line works for Charles Manson too!)
*Church gains insight on demographic shift, p. 1B
- Yeah, white churches best start catering to Hispanics. (That means
Spanish, baby. Drop the Ingles. Andele!) ... Funny, but I've never
seen The DMN tell black churches they must attract the larger white
demographic. ... And this Steve Murdock, warning these churches? Another
Rice U. egghead! (It's the Daily Double!
Ding-ding-ding!) Murdock's a media fave, having said a year ago:
"It's basically over for Anglos." ... Truth
is, mostly-white churches are already more than
open to all races. That's not good enough now, folks. ... See below,
another speaker featured in this lib church's series: Dr. BruEGGemann,
who sez the U.S. is like the [evil] Persian empire. Good stuff!!

NOTHING AGAIN TODAY ON OBAMA'S HIGH GAS
PRICES! IT'S SIMPLY NOT "NEWS" AT THE DMN!
*Reliving an ugly political era,
Book Review, p. 6E; Deep Throat Deceptions, Book Review, p. 4P
- How odd. The News' Points AND
Arts and Life sections review Watergate books
today -- on the eve of PBS's big "Clinton" documentary, which
highlights Slick Willie's "sexual healing" that got him
impeached for lying under oath. Alas, "Clinton" gets no mention
in today's DMN.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVTN5o9Kgu8
*At Capitol, Perry rarely punches in, p. 1A -
Oh, dear. The News sez Perry doesn't sit behind his desk enough -- and
they've got proof!! (Is it ---- Austingate!?!) ...
See, Perry can't be governor and not show up and "govern" us! Who'll fix
our economy, our health care, our poverty?? (A convenient DMN poll sez
Texans feel this way. See how "news" is made, kids?) ... And when
libs scream about lawfully legislated GOP cuts, who'll stand up and
overrule them - like a good tyrant ought?? (That paraphrased gem is
by Texas' Dem Party chair.) ... Scribe Hoppe-Along Lefty includes
Dem comments/positions over Perry peeps', 2-1, here
-- including the story's last four graphs, lest anyone
leave with the wrong idea.
*Doonesbury - The
News bashes a GOP prez candidate in its Comics! For balance,
there are ........ wait ........ lesseee .... ZERO
comics bashing a Democrat.
http://www.uclick.com/client/wpc/db/
*Business leaders in Dallas think
positive, p. 1A - That's
funny, because, in Business, a companion story's headlines on
the same "economic summit" say: Uncertainty keeps
recovery in check and Dallas business leaders remain
uneasy. Which is it? Obviously, reading both pieces, it's the
latter -- but The News puts a "silk purse" on 1A, the "sow's ear" in
Business. ... Obamacare isn't mentioned in the front-page piece
-- but buried on 4D we find, from CEO Doug Brooks: "Health care is
the dark cloud over our industry more than anything. ... If [Obamacare] goes
into effect in 2014, that's $16 million out of our bottom line." From
CEO Ken Hersh: "No one knows how this 2014 health care will shake
out." ... Obamacare will kill any notion of recovery,
folks - and The News is corrupt in trying to hide it.

OP-ED YOU WON'T SEE IN THE DMN
http://times247.com/articles/obama-is-america-s-lenin
NOT NEWS TO DMN "GATEKEEPERS"
1) Gallup: 85% of small businesses not hiring -
http://www.gallup.com/poll/152654/Health-Costs-Gov-Regulations-Curb-Small-Business-Hiring.aspx
2) LATimes: Gas to hit a record
$4/gallon in SoCal this weekend -
http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-four-dollar-gas-20120217,0,7150361.story
But The News does
report:
*Inflation tame; leading
indicators up again, AP, 3D -
It's all good, folks! No worries! Sure, you gotta "[exclude]
volatile food and energy" prices and believe "economists"
who "played down" other price hikes. But you can do that --
can't you? ... Again, nowhere in today's DMN are high gas
prices mentioned. Nowhere.
*Moroccan arrested in plot to
blow up U.S. Capitol, AP, p. 5A - How
'bout: Moroccan
Muslim arrested in plot to bomb U.S.
Capitol? (Yes, there's
room.) ... "Muslim" appears once here, buried in graph seven
-- and then never specifically calling "the Moroccan" one.
Slick, huh? ... AP assures "the Moroccan" "was not believed to
be associated with Al Qaeda." (Thank God! I was worried for a
sec.) 'Course, "the Moroccan" THOUGHT his FBI helpers were Al Qaeda
-- but that doesn't count for the learned AP.

NOT NEWS TO DMN "GATEKEEPERS"
1) Geithner calls Dear Leader's budget 'unsustainable':
http://freebeacon.com/geithner-admits-obamas-budget-unsustainable/
2) Real unemployment at 15%:
3) Foreclosures on the rise again:
http://www.cnbc.com/id/46401756
What The News does
report:
*GM profit for '11 sets record,
p. 1D - No mention that Dear
Leader effectively gave Gubment Motors to the UAW -- the same
"blue-collar workers" noted here who just gave themselves $7,000
profit-sharing checks while taxpayers are still owed billions. No
mention that Obama gifted GM with no corporate taxes. No
mention that GM didn't go through normal bankruptcy. ... Below, Op-Eds
you won't see in The DMN:
http://money.cnn.com/2011/02/23/news/companies/gm_bailout/index.htm
*Poverty risk high in city,
report says, p. 1B - Ah,
yes. More "news" from the lib-infested Corporation for Enterprise
Development --dutifully highlighted by Belo. (They've appeared
three times in the last ten days! See below.)
'Course, scribe Weiss can't be bothered with telling readers that CFED loves
them some Dear Leader. ... Just more "occupy" propaganda, folks, this
time with Dallas' Dem mayor Mike "Fred Flintstone" Rawlings bleating the
chorus: we should be "shock[ed]" that "America is moving
toward two classes: those with assets and those without."
Actually, Fred, we should be "shocked" that gas prices have risen
83% and our debt has increased 53% on Dear
Leader's watch - neither of which makes The News' radar anymore.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/12-scary-debt-facts-for-2012.html
*Arizona officer shoots, kills
man holding baby, Briefs, p. 3A
- This caught a DMN editor's eye 'cuz: 1) it's Arizona and 2) the
headline makes Arizonans look crazy. Get that get that
Arizona-Crazy seed out there! Feed that perception! ...
This happened in Queens, you wouldn't see it. ... The full story below:

NOT NEWS TO DMN "GATEKEEPERS"
1) Dear Leader donors reap millions in fed subsidies:
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=49542
2) Fed funds roll to "clean-energy" firms with Dear Leader ties:
3) Queen Sebelius didn't consult bishops on "compromise":
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/02/15/sebelius-didnt-consult-bishops-on-contraception-deal/
Meanwhile, The News does
report:
*Factories are 'on a tear,'
expert says, AP, p. 3D -
Thank you, "expert!" Right on time! ... AP sez, "it's an optimistic
theme that serves President Barack Obama's political needs[!]" Ya'
think? (The ignored stories above did not meet Dear
Leader's needs, you see.)
*Fed chief expects
more job growth, p. 1D
- Wait, don't tell me: another optimistic theme that serves
President Barack Obama's political needs? LOL. ... (It's now
safe for The News to highlight Texas' economy. Perry's outa the race.)
*Bad publicity may help Parkland
[Hospital] cure its ills, Floyd column, p. 1B -
Yeah, The News is just trying to help Parkland with
its vicious, Pulitzer-baiting jihad -- that's all! Destroying lives,
careers, reputations? All necessary to ensure free,
top-o'-the-line medical care for illegals. Y'all get that, right? ...
Sure, The News could approach this from a
we-need-to-secure-the-border angle -- but, naw, let's hammer Americans! ...
Jaci even admits Parkland folks are "overworked" and "worn down" --
but, too bad! ... I don't recall this laser-hot focus when The News
was caught lying about its circulation numbers. No internal
correspondense, no pilfered reports. Oh, I know. No illegals were
harmed, so no biggie.
